I'm a black British author, speaker and story teller, of Jamaican descent. I live in London, and won my first prize at aged 12 for a poem I wrote in school called, 'A boy from Bounds Green'. I went on to work in I.T., eventually becoming the head of I.T. for a university. My first love though, was always writing, and I continued writing poetry throughout this time. I won some prizes and was published.
I transitioned to books when I couldn't find any appropriate books for my two children when they were young. Every child deserves to see themselves in the books they read. Typically I thought, if they didn’t exist, I would create them.
My current book Kamari Brown And His First Million, is a Middle grade comedy, featuring a diverse cast. It has received great reviews and won prizes.
My talks and workshops are suitable and adaptable for different customer needs and group sizes. They are interactive, engaging, taking people on a motivational journey from my beginnings, to how I became a published author.
If you want to book me for an event do get in touch! I live in London and am willing to travel. I am available for Author Talks, Signings, Panels, Readings, School Visits, and Creative Sessions.
