Ashley Thorpe was excellent! He ran an assembly session with Year 7 and Year 8. Our students were enthralled; they were particularly interested to find out that he liked some of the same manga and had the same or similar favourite characters to them. Our students were kept engaged throughout the session, and they really enjoyed the Q&A section. Lots of requests for more copies of his book in our school library after the event!

What a pleasure it was to have Matt visit us on Tuesday 11th March. His presentation to our year 7 & 8 students was engaging and set at just the right level. Matt was ready to answer the questions that the students had and they were grateful for his time in signing their books. Our year 9 students listened attentively to Matt's resilience workshop and there is still a buzz in the school that 'the football author' has been in!

The children (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed Sophie Ambrose's visit during Book Week. Her presentation on the creative journey from drafting to publishing was captivating. The pupils were particularly engaged when creating their own illustrations. Sophie skillfully tailored her activities to suit our nursery and infant age groups. Thank you very much for such a wonderful session, Sophie!

Sophie was absolutely fantastic - the energy behind her delivery (even after a busy day!) was remarkable, and she made a very strong impression on the children from the off. She was incredibly versatile, offering to draw animals/creatures the children came up with, and supported even more reluctant drawers to create their own characterful masterpiece. Thank you, Sophie, for making it a World Book Day to remember :)

We enjoyed a brilliant day with Isabel Thomas - she was absolutely fantastic! Her talks were interactive, thoroughly engaging and enlightening and perfectly pitched to each audience.
She was such a joy to be with and interacted so well with the children, giving them lots of individual attention when signing books and allowing them to ask lots of questions.
Thank you so much for making our Book Week end on the biggest high!

A brilliant day
Great communication before the visit. Then 2 assemblies and four workshops delivered to the pupils exactly as we had asked. The assemblies and workshops were differentiated so that they were age appropriate. Alice was an excellent presenter, helped launch our celebration of reading week and definitely inspired our pupils to write. All staff were very complimentary and the pupils clearly enjoyed their day.
