We had the most wonderful experience when Claire visited our school. She was incredibly friendly, organised and professional throughout a very busy day. Claire adapted her workshops and interactions to be perfectly suited for pupils from Nursery to Key stage 1 and pupils were hooked listening to the reading of 'The think ups' and fully engaged in the drawalong workshops. They produced such creative art work as a result! The staff and the children want to say a huge thank you for such an inspirational visit on world book day- thank you Claire, we hope you can come back again soon!

We absolutely loved having Josh visit us. He was a significant help with Year 11 who will be sitting their GCSE exam papers soon. We will be asking for him to visit us again.

We had a wonderful day with Alice. Feedback from children was brilliant, lots of them were inspired to write after her visit. Before the visit, Alice was personable and excellent to communicate with in terms of organising the day. We would highly recommend Alice to other schools who may consider her for a future author visit.

We were so happy with James' visit to our school. His assembly was engaging, interactive and inspiring - many of our children with SEND felt so inspired when James discussed his journey as a dyslexic author. His illustrator workshops were fun and interactive; many children told their teachers how much they enjoyed them. James went above and beyond by spending his lunchtime signing the children's books and his attendance at our school book fair was really well-received by parents and children. Overall, we had a fantastic World Book Day with James and we highly recommend him for an author visit!

Neal Zetter's visit on Friday 28th February was the perfect start to our Book Week this year! His assembly was highly engaging for the whole school, and the feedback from the workshops has all been positive! It encouraged lots of children to attend the first day of our Book Fair where they could talk to and buy a book from Neal! The kids absolutely loved it and I would highly recommend a visit from Neal!

Rachel was absolutely brilliant. Great at engaging and inspiring the children. So much enthusiasm and laughter. The children adored her. Rachel is such a lovely person. We highly recommend her to anyone wanting a great experience of storytelling and engendering a love of books.

Cat worked with 4 groups of PGCE trainees at the University of Worcester. It was a pleasure to have her! From informal student feedback, they enjoyed Cat's stories and energy! They also enjoyed having the opportunity to buy books. One member of staff said she would have liked the students to do some storytelling activities, which we could do next time in a room that would adapt to this. One member of staff also mentioned that Cat mentioned the VAK model of learning (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), but as this theory has now largely been de-bunked, it might be better to avoid this in future. We would definitely invite Cat again!

Nigel Blackman visited Church Street Library on the 11th of December to do an author talk and performed three sessions, sixty children altogether attended. It was fantastic, he read a few chapters of his novel The Dinoteks, secret dinosaurs, which was an amazing story of a forgotten room at the museum and a secret is about to be revealed. It is a story of the Dinoteks part robot and part dinosaur who is discovered by Marlin and about the adventures of what happens with the secret dinosaurs when the Horrible Mr Grubbler who is in charge of the museum has got his beady eyes on Marlin, and Marlin who tries to keep it a secret from him.Nigel also told the story along side the story with power point of all the amazing illustrations he created along side the story. Nigel was brilliant, friendly, warm and engaged the groups through his story telling and illustrations. Very talented and a amazing writer full of imagination. The children loved him.

Luke as always was amazing! From the initial assembly to 270 Year 9, to the smaller groups all day, he was entertaining, informative and inspirational. Our students love meeting him, and gain such a lot from developing their understanding of writing. Inserting "Grow" into our Year 9 curriculum was forward thinking, and it always pays off.

What can we say? Amazing. Not only were Paul's workshops fantastic, with overwhelmingly positive feedback, he was also such a nice presence to have at our lit fest. He attended other workshops and took part and was a joy to have around. We'd book Paul again in a heartbeat.
